We started out as coworkers in southern Utah and after following each other up to the big city, we both started working as dog walkers, about 6 months apart. With years of experience, each of us love what we can bring to the table, err trail! After growing our clientele up separately, and deciding this was no longer just a gig to the next step, we decided to join forces!
The creation of Sugarhouse DogVentures started on one of our many phone calls to each other while we were out walking. Taking notes in our phone notepad and then sitting down to make it happen. We wanted to provide the care and dedication to our packs, all while combining what we loved; animals and being outdoors. From there it was pretty each to come up with our business plan and less than a month later, here we are!
We are so excited for you to join our journey as we create a new community and pack with members of Sugarhouse and surrounding areas! Our goal is to provide your pup the chance to make friends, get off the pavement for walks and hopefully if we do our job well, come home tired!
Thank you from the founders of Sugarhouse DogVentures,
Kendra & Erin
Erin S. started Sugarhouse Dogventures in 2020 at the height of the pandemic after 5 years of work in municipal shelters and animal sanctuaries. She is passionate about exploring Utah (even in her free time!) and enjoys enriching the lives of both dogs and cats with fun games and brain challenges in addition to hikes and walks.
Kendra G. (aka @the_dog_hiker) is an ultra-experienced animal handler with 10+ years of experience volunteering with and working for humane societies and private rescues across Idaho and Utah. She enjoys exploring local trails with her 6-year-old son and is constantly doing something new.
